'Black and White Braid' was inspired by the feature fabric used in the center blocks and borders.

The quilt top pattern is 'Lava Lamp' from French Braid Quilts by Jane Hardy Miller.

New quilting patterns were created for this quilt and are available at Lily Street Patterns:

• Square Cabochon Block
• Potted Palm E2E (side borders)
• Fritillary E2E (center blocks)
